A 4-year-old girl reportedly made a profit of over 6,500% on a one Bitcoin (BTC) gift she received on the day she was born.
Joo Canhada, the founder of the Brazilian crypto exchange Foxbit, gave his newborn daughter 1 BTC, which is currently worth $915.80. Canhada shared the following information about the event:
“I bought 1 Bitcoin for my daughter as soon as she was born in 2017, not just as a gift, but as a way of investing in this new economy.” BTC was 5,000 Brazilian Reals at the time.”
Four years later, the child’s single BTC investment has yielded profits of over 6,500% as the price of Bitcoin has risen back to the $60,000 mark. Canhada was unaware that 2017 was the last year for investors to purchase Bitcoin for less than $1000.
A 12-year-old boy from London reportedly made nearly $400,000 during the school holidays by selling a series of nonfungible tokens just last month (NFT).
London-based Weird Whales, a collection of digital images of whale emojis that were then sold in NFT form, was created and tokenized by Benyamin Ahmed.
While Ahmed was unable to open a bank account due to age restrictions, his father clarified that the reported earnings from NFT sales were converted to Ether (ETH).
