AMC CEO Adam Aron has confirmed that the world’s largest movie theater chain will accept Dogecoin payments.

Aron was astounded by the amount of engagement his Twitter poll received, noting that it had received 4.2 million views.

Approximately 140,000 users voted in the poll, with 77% of them supporting the initiative.

AMC will need to find a technical solution that allows its theaters to accept the meme cryptocurrency for ticket purchases.

Aron previously stated that by the end of 2021, the cinema chain will also accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin payments.

At the time of writing, AMC’s stock was up 1.7 percent.
