• Bored Ape NFT sold for a whopping 696.969 ETH

  • The Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) maintains its dominance in the NFT market. On OpenSea, Bored Ape NFT #8585 sold for 696.969 ETH to an unnamed buyer in the most recent sale. This is a massive sale worth $2.68 million, making it the largest NFT sale of the week. However, three CryptoPunks and the XCOPY piece ‘Dankrupt’ were also among the top five.

#8585 is a very rare NFT, according to Rarity Tools. It comes in at 440th out of 10,000. Trippy fur and a King’s crown distinguish the ape. In the space, bored Ape NFTs are highly regarded. The collection includes 10,000 Bored Apes, each with a unique costume, expression, and attribute. On OpenSea, the current floor price for BAYC is 35.69 ETH. Furthermore, many people regard BAYC as a long-term blue chip project.

The new owner has excellent taste; they also purchased some other high-value artwork in the last week. The owner’s wallet now contains a Fidenza (an Art Blocks Curated NFT) that was purchased for 200 ETH. Shortly after, the owner paid 420 ETH ($1.5 million) for two CryptoPunks.

The buyer spent a whopping $5 million on NFTs in total. Surprisingly, despite spending so much on the Bored Ape NFT and others, they still have money to spare, with a whopping $1 million in their wallet.

The cost of Bored Ape NFTs has risen dramatically in the last year. Furthermore, many people now regard it as a key player in the NFT space. Aside from sales, BAYC recently announced Roadmap 2.0. One of the new roadmap’s highlights is an exclusive yacht party. In addition, they have major events planned for 2022.
