Virtus.Pro (VP), one of Russia’s most influential professional gaming clubs, has teamed with Bybit. This is the fourth esports deal the exchange has made in the last two weeks.
Bybit, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency exchange, has expanded its esports presence by signing a three-year deal with Virtus.pro, Russia’s most prominent esports team (VP).
Bybit is now an official partner of VP.
According to a press statement shared with ULTCOIN365 on Wednesday, Bybit is officially Virtus.NFT Pro’s Partner and exclusive Official Cryptocurrency Platform Partner, supporting the team’s formidable DOTA 2 and CS: GO teams.
VP is presently one of the most influential professional gaming clubs in the CIS region, particularly in Russia. With 25.6 million viewing hours in 2020, it dominates Russia’s most popular game, DOTA 2.
Bybit’s mark will appear on branded VP platforms and team shirts as part of the agreement. Both parties will also participate in a variety of community-focused activities such as social causes and inclusive financial education, NFT advancements, and player engagement in Bybit’s premier crypto trading tournament.
For the ultimate $7.5 million prize, the World Series of Trading (WSOT) 2021 will involve competitions between crypto traders from around the world and top players from each of Bybit’s esports communities, including VP.
Ben Zhou, CEO of Bybit, commented on the recently concluded cooperation.
“Esports is becoming as much a spectator sport as it is a participant activity, and WSOT will be just that for crypto enthusiasts globally. We want to create an environment in which anyone who believes in cryptocurrency and enjoys trading may accomplish their own best.”
During the agreement, VP will publish various digital asset and financial education content to its platforms in order to further grow the junction between the crypto and esports industries.
Sergey Glamazda, CEO of VP, stated,
“Esports and digital financial assets are both newer industry. Despite their rapid rise and the fact that everyone is talking about it, many individuals may still find it confusing and difficult to comprehend. We’re thrilled to have Bybit join esports with their large-scale projects, and we’re honored to be their Russian partners!”
Bybit Expands Its eSports Partnerships
The crypto exchange has previously partnered with many esports groups, with its current collaboration with VP being the fourth.
Bybit made its initial foray into the esports arena with a multi-year partnership with Ukrainian esports group NAVI.
It also secured two more deals with other esports teams in the same week, including Alliance, a Swedish independent esports team, and Astralis, Denmark’s sporting pride.
Bybit’s name, as well as the crypto sector as a whole, will be known to a combined global fanbase of over 28.7 million people, improving the prospects of mainstream crypto adoption.
