• Coca-Cola is preparing to launch its first-ever NFT

  • Coca-Cola has released its first-ever NFT collection to commemorate International Friendship Day. It has teamed up with OpenSea to auction off some of its most recent tokenized artifacts. The auction will begin on July 30th and will go for four days.

    The proceeds from the auction will be donated to Special Olympics International, the world’s largest sports organization for children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. Coca-Cola has been a partner of Special Olympics International for nearly 50 years.

    Coca-friendship Cola’s NFTs will be produced in collaboration with Tafi, a developer of unique 3D content for avatars and emoji systems, and Virtue, the creative firm that created the original concept.

    Coca-Cola’s NFT Multilayer

    The friendship NFT is a four-level multilayer token. The layers are bundled inside a Friendship box, which is an NFT, and is decorated with similar graphics. The loot box is marketed as the top layer, i.e., the friendship box, which when opened reveals the treasure of Coca-extremely Cola’s collectible 1956 retro vending machine.

    A special Coca-Cola Bubble Jacket Wearable is also included in the collection, which has an unlockable variant that can be worn in the Decentraland 3D virtual reality platform. The jacket’s color scheme is reminiscent of famous Coca-Cola tones of metallic red and caramel brown.

    There’s also an audio file containing Coca-Cola ASMRs in the collection. From the fizz of the beverage and the sound of the initial tastes to the top of a bottle opening and the sound of a beverage being poured over ice.

    Finally, the Friendship Card layer appears, with a digital version of Coca-renowned Cola’s friendship-inspired trade cards from the 1940s. The “Symbol of Friendship” moniker appears on the cards.
