• Expert Panel Suggests Dogecoin ($DOGE) Could Reach $1.2 by 2025

  • According to a panel of cryptocurrency experts polled by Finder, the price of Dogecoin (DOGE) could surpass the elusive $1 mark by 2025, reaching a $1.21 high that year before reaching a $3.6 high by 2030.

According to the expert panel, the cryptocurrency’s price will rise in the future, though most expect it to end this year at around $0.42, well below its current all-time high of more than $0.72.

The panel’s optimism for DOGE over the next few years is influenced in part by Elon Musk’s involvement in the cryptocurrency space, though the 2030 prediction is skewed by a massive outlier, as an expert predicted DOGE would be worth $50 by that year.

Predictions for December 2025 range from $0 to $10, with an average of $1.21. The most optimistic forecast for that year came from Brighton Business School senior lecturer Paul Levy, who predicted DOGE would trade at $10. In comparison, the median price forecast for that year was $0.15.

Thomson Reuters’ Joseph Raczynski, a technologist, and futurist, was skeptical of cryptocurrency, saying:

Dogecoin will eventually reach a value of $0. There are at least 100 to 200 other cryptocurrency projects that are expected to be worth more than DOGE.

DOGE experienced a massive 10,000% price increase around the same time that its average of 135,000 monthly searches increased to 16.5 million. According to the data, the cryptocurrency’s price began to rise during a Reddit-fueled surge intended to help it reach $1.

In the Finder’s panel, Julian Hosp, CEO of Cake DeFi, stated that he believes the cryptocurrency will reach $1, but that it will be a “pump and dump.” Senior lecturer at the University of Canberra John Hawkins predicted that the cryptocurrency will end the year at $0.15, and explained that Dogecoin “seems largely dependent on Elon Musk’s erratic tweets.” It is rarely used as a payment instrument and has proven to be an ineffective store of value.”

DOGE was called a bubble by roughly 80% of the panel, while 10% said it wasn’t and 10% were unsure.

According to Finder’s panel on Ethereum, the cryptocurrency could outperform bitcoin this year, rising to $4,596, and its performance could be such that one ether would be worth $17,810 by 2025.
