An upcoming NFT auction will feature Freddie Mercury, the man responsible for instilling drunken renditions of Bohemian Rhapsody since 1975. Four exclusive digital artworks featuring the legendary singer are up for auction, with proceeds benefiting the Mercury Phoenix Trust, an AIDS charity.
To commemorate the legendary Queen frontman’s 75th birthday, SuperRare will auction off a collection of Freddie Mercury-themed NFTs. Blake Kathryn, Chad Knight, Mat Maitland, and MBSJQ are the creators of the four featured works. All are lovingly crafted incarnations based on the colorful star’s extraordinary life.
Freddie Mercury lived a relatively short life, but in that time he forever changed the music world. Those he touched with his hit talent, passion, and incredible stage persona will be eternally grateful. That is what makes this collection so unique.
The auction will begin at 8 a.m. PST on September 20 and will last 75 hours. Furthermore, all proceeds will benefit the Mercury Phoenix Trust, a non-profit founded by close friends in memory of the legendary rocker.
