• In the third quarter of 2021, the cryptocurrency market cap increased by nearly 40%

  • EXMO, a cryptocurrency exchange, recently released a report on the global crypto market, highlighting a 40% increase in the market cap of digital currencies during the third quarter of 2021.

    According to the report shared with ULTCOIN365, the 7th of September 2021 saw a significant increase in cryptocurrency trading volumes across the board. According to the EXMO report, there was a significant drop in Dogecoin trading volumes during the most recent quarter. XRP trading volumes, on the other hand, increased significantly in August 2021.

    The majority of cryptocurrency assets finished the third quarter in the black. However, digital assets such as Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Stellar performed poorly in the third quarter of 2021.

    “Despite some dips in September, the cryptocurrency market cap increased by 39% in the last quarter.” The size of the crypto market increased by 152% from the beginning of the year to the end of the third quarter. Dogecoin trading volumes fell by a factor of 12 when compared to the second quarter, with the most significant drop occurring in the third quarter. “The volumes were at their lowest in July and September,” according to EXMO’s report.

    Adoption of Cryptocurrency

    According to EXMO’s most recent report, there was a significant increase in first deposits during the most recent quarter due to an increase in global cryptocurrency adoption. The average amount of first deposits increased by 44 percent in the most recent quarter compared to the second quarter of 2021. “Among all cryptocurrencies listed on EXMO, Wirex (WXT), Polkadot (DOT), and Cryptocean (CRON) had the highest quarterly balance growth.” EXMO listed Polkadot at the end of the second quarter,” EXMO added.

    In the third quarter of 2021, the overall adoption of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency assets increased significantly. According to estimates, there are more than 220 million cryptocurrency users worldwide, a more than 100 percent increase from January 2021. The total market capitalization of digital currencies is currently around $2.2 trillion. BTC accounts for 46% of the total cryptocurrency market cap.
