• Elephant Art Online Releases First Exclusively Commissioned NFT

  • There are times when you believe you’ve seen everything. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, an elephant appears on the blockchain with a surprisingly passable painting of a tree.

Tunwa, as you may have guessed, is no ordinary NFT artist; he is a 4 metric ton Asian elephant. Furthermore, he is the featured artist at Elephant Art Online, which appears to be a thing. And now, thanks to their newly formed NFT branch of operations, Bittrunks, you can own that artwork you never knew you wanted. Furthermore, unlike the random splodges produced by the apes, this is a fully discernible painting of a tree. Everything was covered in leaves. On the blockchain, there are humans who are less talented than this magnificent beast.

This is Elephant Art Online’s first NFT outing, and it will be available via auction on OpenSea. Beginning at 9:30 a.m. EDT on October 28 and lasting until midday EDT on November 4, In addition, the winning bidder will receive the physical painting as well as a slew of bonus content. Included are videos and photos documenting the creation of the artwork, as well as outtakes of Tunwa frolicking in his jungle habitat.

Tunwa will also benefit, with an undisclosed portion of the proceeds going to the elephant park where he lives, the highly rated Maetang Elephant Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
