• Lympo will connect NFTs to the Polygon network for seamless operations

  • Lympo, a platform for sports non-fungible token (NFT) minting, has partnered with Polygon Studios to enable seamless participation in the upcoming Lympo play-to-earn blockchain games.

Lympo stated in a press release shared with ULTCOIN365 that the partnership entails deploying its Lympo Market Token (LMT) and sports NFTs to Polygon’s network. In exchange, the collaboration will strive to eliminate transaction fees while providing a scalable and long-term solution for the games.

Furthermore, the transition to the Polygon network will bring new features and functionalities to the Lympo ecosystem. Some of the new features, according to the statement, will allow Lympo NFT holders to receive token rewards for participating in staking activities.

It’s worth noting that Lympo plans to launch its NFT staking platform once the bridge to the Polygon network is finished. Lympo also hopes that the native LMT token will gain additional listings, giving the coin more market exposure.

Famous athletes will compete in the Lympo.

Lympo will also migrate its athlete NFT minting pool to Polygon, involving renowned athletes such as MMA’s Rose Namajunas and Eddie Hall, the world’s strongest man, as a result of the bridge. Each athlete will have their own set of digital collectibles available to them.

The new partnership, according to Ada Jonuse, CEO of Lympo, is part of the platform’s multichain vision.

“The Lympo NFT minting platform has always been conceived of as a multichain project.” Digital collectibles should be simple, accessible to all, and unrestricted. That is why we believe Polygon is an excellent first step toward realizing our multichain vision. Polygon’s cheaper and faster transactions make the Lympo ecosystem faster and more efficient,” said Jones.

Lympo’s first play-to-earn blockchain game will be released later next year, with users able to use their LMTs and Lympo sports NFTs in-game to claim rewards or participate in special events.

As previously reported, Lympo, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, announced a partnership with the Binance NFT marketplace on June 30. Binance NFT will host Lympo’s IP-based sport-related non-fungible tokens, including future NFT auctions, as part of the collaboration.
