• La Liga has agreed to build a stadium in Decentraland’s Vegas City District with StadioPlus

  • In collaboration with StadioPlus, a Spanish tech business that provides direction to the sports industry, and Vegas City Limited, a company committed to the production of blockchain and metaverse experiences, the Spanish football league La Liga will build a project in the Decentraland Metaverse.

StadioPlus will benefit from La Liga’s intellectual and industrial property rights as a result of this collaboration. StadioPlus will use these rights to build virtual land lots in Decentraland’s Vegas City district.

    Decentraland is getting La Liga.

It is worth mentioning that the Vegas City neighborhood contains some of Decentraland’s most important sports and entertainment locations, making it ideal for this project. As the project advances, a La Liga-themed area will be created, and once completed, users will be able to enjoy an entire sporting experience in a web3 environment.

They can thus create avatars, interact with other users, and even trade things.

According to Agus Ferreira, CEO of the Decentraland Foundation, “Part of Decentraland’s vision is to enable and create experiences for all types of people. We believe that sport is an incredible opportunity to showcase the possibilities of Web3 and decentralization.”

It was also mentioned that this may be a huge chance for Spanish teams and football leagues in general since they can reach an even larger audience and interact with their fans even more.
