• NBA’s Best Shot Drops NFTs of WNBA Star Sylvia Fowles’ Most Memorable Moments

  • NBA Top Shot, the officially licensed NBA and WNBA NFTs, is releasing NFTs of WNBA star Sylvia Fowles. Users can now own moments from her final home game as well. It was a one-of-a-kind moment that served as a farewell to the sport, city, venue, and people she adored.

    Limited edition Sylvia Fowles NFTs, along with 24 other players, have been published on the NBA Top Shot platform to commemorate her amazing career in ‘the W.’

    In collaboration with the WNBA, Top Shot, and the WNBA Players Association. Sylvia will be on the WNBA Metallic Gold Limited Edition’s debut.

    It’s a limited edition package of 25 highlights, buzzer beaters, ankle-breakers, and rejections. They will recognize the talent of 25 different WNBA players, including Sylvia Fowles.

    In total, 8,750 packs will be available for purchase. They are now priced at $89 on the platform. Users will find out if they received a pack or not at 4 p.m. ET on August 30, with the packs delivered directly to their accounts if they did.

    To be more specific, each Metallic Gold LE Moment has a limited edition size of 499. In fact, as part of this collaboration, Dapper Labs will donate a percentage of revenue from Moments featuring Syl sales, up to $50,000, to the National Women’s Law Center in support of gender justice across topics important to women and girls’ lives.

    What exactly is NBA Top Shot?

    NBA Top Shot is a National Football League (NFL) marketplace where users can buy, sell, and exchange basketball video clips. These are also referred to as “moments.”

    Sylvia Fowles is a former basketball player from the United States. She was drafted second overall in the WNBA draft in 2008 and played in the NBA until 2022, when she retired with the Minnesota Lynx.

    Overall, she played internationally and in the WNBA throughout her career. Chicago Sky, Spartak Moscow, Galatasaray, Shanghai Swordfish, Canik Belediyesi, Beijing Great Wall, and Minnesota Lynx are among her teams. She earned two WNBA Finals MVPs and one WNBA MVP. As well as eight All-Star appearances and three spots on the All-WNBA First Team.

    Along with her two WNBA Championships with the Minnesota Lynx in 2015 and 2017, the Florida native also represented the United States at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In the process, she and her teammates won a gold medal.

    During her WNBA career, she averaged 15.3 points per game, 1 assist per game, and 10.1 rebounds per game.
