  • San Antonio Spurs raised $200,000/66ETH with their NFT drop, which honors all of Gregg Popovich’s victories to date. This money was raised entirely in the first 96 hours, and it will all go to the San Antonio Food Bank.

    The San Antonio Spurs and Cultos just published an NFT project to honor their iconic head coach, Gregg Popovich, who recently became the most successful coach in NBA history with 1,336 victories. As a result, a collection of 1,336 NFTs was auctioned on OpenSea as part of the collection. The first five NFTs were one-of-a-kind and commemorated his five NBA championships to date, with numerous perks for fans.

    The cash raised by the team were donated to the San Antonio Food Bank. San Antonio was just designated the “Most-impoverished big metro region” for the second year in a row. Last year, 350,000 people in the San Antonio area lived below the poverty line of $26,500 for a family of four, according to data obtained by SA Current.
