• NFT Collectors Will Be Featured in Sotheby’s Second Natively Digital Sale

  • Sotheby’s, the prestigious fine art auction house, is back with its second dedicated NFT extravaganza. The event, dubbed “Natively Digital 1.2: The Collectors,” will highlight works amassed by some of the most prominent figures in the NFT industry.

Natively Digital’s latest installation will run for one week, from October 14 to October 21. As a result, a slew of notable collectors (19) will take part in the event, hand-picking items from their digital vaults. Collector 888, FingerprintsDAO, Paris Hilton, and the mighty WhaleShark are among the NFT royalty involved. The latter has pledged to use the proceeds to fund additional purchases and to provide liquidity to the native token, $WHALE.

As a result of all of this, a total of 53 NFT masterpieces will be auctioned off. These will include originals by Hackatao and X-COPY, as well as Bored Apes and MoonCats collectibles. Sotheby’s will release the full list of assets prior to the event, with something for every discerning collector.

The first Natively Digital event took place in June to much fanfare, and as a result, some of the greatest NFTs changed hands for exorbitant sums. Overall, it raised a whopping $17.1 million from 28 different lots. This figure is notable because it is half of the number on offer at the next auction.
