• Pplpleasr Releases Cannes Film Festival Producer’s Pass NFT Collection

  • Emily Yang, also known as pplpleasr, joins with Brut Media to create a limited-edition NFT collection. The NFTs provide admission to in-person activities at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival, which takes place from May 17th to May 28th.

Pplpleasr Will Release Producer Pass NFTs

The 75 animated Producer Pass NFTs are Ethereum-based and you can mint one on pplpleasr’s own NFT platform Shibuya. Each NFT includes a looping animation of a white fox going down a red carpet. Yet, the other special qualities of the NFT relies on its tier: Bronze, Silver, or Gold.

Pplpleasr’s Bronze-tier NFTs cost 5 ETH (about $14,000) to produce. It entitles holders to the red carpet event as well as a film screening on the first day of the festival.

Silver-tier NFTs cost 6 ETH (about $16,800) and provide entrance to the red carpet event. Holders can also attend a film screening, such as ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ ‘Elvis,’ or ‘Three Thousand Years of Longing.’

The most sought-after NFT type, the Gold tier, will cost 7 ETH (about $19,600). It entitles the holder to attend either the opening or closing ceremonies of the 75th Cannes Film Festival. This covers the ceremony’s associated red carpet celebration.

Finally, the proceeds from the NFT sale will be used to support female content creators. According to Pplpleasr, she will contribute all revenues to the Annenberg Accelerator Program, a University of Southern California project.
