• Shiba Inu Crypto (SHIB) is now accepted by Travala and can be used to book 3 million travel products worldwide

  • Travala, a cryptocurrency-friendly travel website, has added support for the shiba inu cryptocurrency. SHIB can now be used to book over 3 million travel products on the site worldwide, including flights, hotels, and vacation packages.

Shiba Inu Crypto is now supported by Travala.

Travala, a travel website, announced on Tuesday that shiba inu cryptocurrency has been added as a payment method to its website.

The company’s official account tweeted congratulations to shiba inu supporters for winning the token battle it set up a few days ago, adding that SHIB is now listed as a payment method on Travala.com and can be used to book over 3 million travel products globally.

On December 2, Travala scheduled a “token battle” between FLOKI and SHIB. The cryptocurrency with the most votes after 72 hours “will win a listing on Travala.com,” according to the company. Furthermore, “all users who vote for either token will receive a share of $15,000 in AVA, which will be distributed based on the votes cast.”

SHIB emerged as the clear winner of the voting.

According to Travala’s website, “we take pride in being the leading cryptocurrency-friendly accommodation booking platform.” Users can currently pay with 77 cryptocurrencies, including the meme cryptocurrency dogecoin (DOG) and the recently listed SHIB.

The cryptocurrency-friendly travel site announced earlier this month that its total revenue for November was $7.2 million, representing a 683 percent increase year on year. Furthermore, cryptocurrencies were used to pay for 82 percent of all bookings in November.

Shiba inu crypto adoption has been steadily increasing. SHIB support was added to cryptocurrency exchanges Kraken and Gemini in November. This month, Newegg will accept Shiba Inu payments, and AMC Theatres will accept SHIB in the first quarter of next year. Meanwhile, supporters of the Shiba Inu have petitioned for the popular trading platform Robinhood to accept SHIB. 544,304 signatures had been collected at the time of writing.
