• The camera that mints NFTs is pushing the limits of blockchain technology

  • Airwire has released a new camera app that generates NFTs. This app allows users to create NFTs in under a minute for a reduced rate, and in some cases for free. According to the company’s CEO, Ken DiCross, it also provides a slew of other benefits.

    Concerning the App

AirWire launched the NFT Camera App that mints NFTs simply named ‘AirWire’ earlier this week, and it is now available for download on the Google Play Store. The app’s features include the ability to mint NFTs quickly and cheaply, an in-app wallet, and an integrated marketplace. According to Ken DiCross, “it’s as simple as taking a picture, minting it in 15 seconds, and selling or keeping it private.” We removed the entry barrier and addressed many of the issues that other NFT marketplaces are experiencing.” This mentioned barrier to entry is a major reason why many creators have yet to launch NFT projects. Regarding the camera feature, the company claims to be “a first-to-market app that is light years ahead of current offerings.”

They have already collaborated with rap artist and actor Tobe Nwigwe, who has 1.3 million Instagram followers. A decentralized NFT Media Storage is another feature that allows users to enhance their NFTs with editing tools. Notably, an NFT from Bored Ape Yacht Club is already available in the app’s marketplace.

    The Near Future

According to AirWire, the marketplace will host NFTs from all major chains. The app’s overall concept is fantastic, particularly the camera that mints NFTs. This is by far the most innovative feature. I’m sure more companies will jump on the instant minting bandwagon in the future. The inclusion of a phone app is an added bonus, lowering the barrier to entry yet again. The key to AirWire’s future is to integrate iOS and expand beyond their current Google Play userbase.
