Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has enraged the Ethereum community once more.
The tech billionaire shared a screenshot of a new Twitter feature, which included a tweet calling Ethereum a scam.
While some speculated that the Ethereum-bashing tweet appeared on Dorsey’s feed by chance, the 44-year-old entrepreneur clarified that there were no such occurrences.
The Bitcoin community was clearly overjoyed after Dorsey made a dig at the rival cryptocurrency.
This is not the first time the Twitter CEO has excelled at trolling Ethereum investors. Dorsey recently posted the #Eth hashtag on the eve of the Tokyo Olympics to support Ethiopia, which won a gold medal in the men’s 10,000 meters event.
Prior to that, Dorsey, a staunch supporter of Bitcoin, would dismiss the idea of investing in Ethereum (or any other altcoin).
What is Ethereum (Satoshi Vision)?
The tweet that sparked yet another row between Dorsey and Ethereans refers to a recent remark made by Justin Drake, a researcher at the Ethereum Foundation, on the popular blockchain podcast Unchained.
Drake joked about Ethereum being the “accomplishment of Satoshi’s vision”:
Ethereum is the realization of Satoshi’s vision… In that sense, Ethereum is equivalent to Bitcoin.
This, of course, irritated many Bitcoiners, who accused Ethereum of being a centralized pre-mined cryptocurrency only useful for selling worthless JPEG rocks.
