• The first NFT collection by Dolce & Gabbana sells for $5.7 million

  • Dolce & Gabbana’s first non-fungible token (NFT) collection, the Collezione Genesi, fetched $5.65 million in a Thursday sale.

The nine NFTs were launched on the luxury marketplace UNXD, which is based on Ethereum layer 2 Polygon.

The collection’s bidding began on September 28 and ended today, with the NFTs being personally designed by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for UNXD.

The “Glass Suit” NFT sold for 351.384 ETH, or slightly more than $1 million at current prices, while both versions of the “Dress from a Dream” sold for more than $500,000.

The “Golden Impossible Jacket” cost just under $300,000 to purchase.

Each item’s winners received not only the NFT, but also physical versions of the items and exclusive access to Dolce & Gabbana events.

UNXD has also collaborated with Polygon to launch a new $10 million “Culture Fund” to expand the use of NFTs in the fashion industry.
