• The long-awaited arrival of NFTs in the Mekaverse has finally arrived

  • Born in Japan in the mid-1960s, they found their feet in the 1980s, and they’ll be on the blockchain any day now. This is the story of Meka (Mecha), a Japanese phenomenon whose impending arrival may be the most anticipated drop yet.

The Mekaverse is a collection of 8,888 exquisitely crafted 3D collectibles with varying rarities and custom color palettes. Each unit is a one-of-one digital asset generated programmatically, and based on the ratio of followers to total supply, this drop will become legendary.

The project is the brainchild of Mattey and Matt B, an artistic duo who have been on the scene for a while. The project’s future is unknown, and the team is careful not to rush anything. What we do know is that they are collaborating with a toy company to create physical versions of the assets, and that a set of real-life wearables is in the works.

A raffle will set the tone of the drop in order to ensure fair distribution. As a result, go to the Mekaverse website at 11 p.m. CET on October 6. Little is revealed beforehand, so keep an eye on Twitter or Discord for more information. More information about the project will almost certainly be released after the drop. And, with hundreds of thousands of followers, expect more efforts to be made to tap into this massive fanbase.
