The Sandbox, a pioneer of the open world metaverse, has announced the launch of a brand new accelerator program. They intend to invest 100 metaverse start-ups over the next three years through industry specialists Brinc.
The Sandbox has set aside a total of $50 million to fund the endeavor, which it will subsequently allocate to successful candidates with genuine concepts that would improve the open metaverse. Each startup will receive up to $250k in funding, with top performers receiving further investment, $SAND tokens, and LAND grants.
Once on board, projects will receive expert advice from The Sandbox and Brinc, as well as professional mentorship from a huge number of industry specialists, all with the shared objective of bringing innovation to the metaverse and making it more accessible to a wider audience.
Applications are now being accepted, with the first startup set to start its accelerator program in Q2. Participants must demonstrate technical skill, the ability to create new experiences, and a unique approach to technology, as well as new creativity and an enthusiasm for the metaverse.
