Tom Brady fans are in for a treat, as the NFL star will be releasing a new NFT collection on the DraftKings marketplace.
Tom Brady, quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is launching a new NFT collection featuring memorabilia from his early football career. Brady launched the Autograph NFT platform earlier this year, which includes NFTs of tennis star Naomi Osaka, hockey player Wayne Gretzky, golfer Tiger Woods, famous skateboarder Tony Hawk, and others, including his Tampa Bay teammate, Rob Gronkowski.
When and how will NFTs be made available?
Brady’s first NFT collection sold out quickly, and he’s giving current NFT holders first access to the new “Live Forever: The Tom Brady Origins Collection,” which includes 16,600 collectibles from Brady’s early NFL years. Holders of a Preseason Access Pass will be able to begin collecting on December 7, 2021, at 5 p.m. ET, with the public drop beginning on December 9, while supplies last. The Preseason Access Passes are non-transferable from the first Tom Brady Autograph drop. For preseason pass holders, a mystery container is available for purchase on DraftKings. Brady’s College Resume, Rookie Draft Card, Combine Stopwatch, Combine Cleats, and Combine Jersey could all be found in the mystery boxes. The NFL Scout Combine is an annual event held in February where prospective NFL players are invited to participate in physical and mental tests in front of NFL management and coaching personnel, and Brady was one of the last to be chosen in the 2000 edition.
The drop will be open to the public on December 9, 2021. Each of these collectibles’ rarities can be classified as Carbon, Platinum, Emerald, Sapphire, or Ruby. Individuals who collect five items of the same rarity by the “Activation Deadline” will receive an Immortal Statue of that rarity. Users will be able to open their mystery boxes beginning on the Reveal Date, which is December 14, 2021.
Tom Brady’s NFT Appetite Increases
Brady’s NFT platform has signed agreements with Lionsgate and DraftKings, an online sports betting platform. Brady is a big fan of NFTs and plans to give them away as gifts during the 2021 holiday season. Brady and his team at Autograph began planning the next NFT drop almost immediately after seeing the success of the first one. Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, own equity in Sam Bankman-FTX Fried’s as part of a deal struck earlier this year, which resulted in the celebrity couple appearing in an FTX commercial.
