• Vogue Singapore Launches Its First NFT Collection

  • To broaden community engagement, the Singapore edition of Vogue magazine plans to release an NFT series this fall.

With its Singapore edition, fashion magazine Vogue enters the NFT arena by releasing a series of NFTs as “mystery boxes.” The series debuts on the Binance NFT as a feature in the magazine’s September issue, which is available in Singapore.

The president of Media Publishers, which publishes Vogue, Michael von Schlippe, commented on the development. “We are thrilled to be launching the first series of Vogue Singapore mystery boxes on Binance,” he says. “This is the first step in a long-term strategy to connect the crypto and gaming communities with digital investors, tech-savvy consumers, and luxury brands.”

The NFT mystery boxes contain artwork depicting sunrises in ten major international cities. A Vogue astronaut will also be seen exploring the featured cities. Hong Kong, London, Milan, New York, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, and Tokyo are among the cities available.

Serious collectors who have collected all ten cities will be given access to a secret link in order to obtain the 11th limited edition box. The Singapore sunrise NFT is contained in this secret box. The 11th mystery box is hosted by the Binance Smart Chain-powered RARA marketplace.

NFTs are taking over the fashion industry.

Vogue Singapore is only the most recent major beauty and fashion brand to join the NFT craze.

Two of the industry’s most recognizable brands discovered ways to incorporate NFTs into their product strategy last month. NARS makeup collaborated with three artists to create an NFT art series based on their popular “Orgasm” line.

This summer, iconic designers Dolce & Gabbana also released NFTs. Their collection combined digital fashion with Venice’s history.

This new digital outlet for Vogue Singapore is part of an effort to engage with a larger community. Von Schlippe hopes that this is the start of Vogue and crypto. “The mystery boxes will be a continuous process for engaging the crypto community and allowing them to interact with Vogue in a new format.”

The new mystery boxes are the result of a partnership with Brytehall, a high-end NFT platform. Brytehall will be available in September.

It’s no surprise that this announcement comes from Singapore, which has long been a haven for crypto-minded investors and enthusiasts.
