• Why Did Larva Labs Delete All Their Tweets?

  • Larva Labs (LL), the developers of the CryptoPunks NFT project, has recently deleted all of their Tweets. What occurred, and why? The reason, it turns out, is quite simple.

Larva Labs has recently deleted all of their tweets.

Since Yuga Labs purchased Larva Labs’ CryptoPunks and Meebits collections, there isn’t much reason for LL to continue posting on its original Twitter account. The majority of the Tweets have since been moved to @cryptopunksnfts. While the LL founders, Matt and John, continued to post under the handle @larvalabs.

However, based on the comments, Twitter user @Pauly0x believes that Larva Labs’ decision to delete all of the Tweets is significant. That is, however, a valid concern. After all, Larva Labs stated that they will be working on other Web3 projects following the sale of CryptoPunks and Meebits NFT IP to Yuga Labs. As a result, making themselves completely disappear from Twitter makes little sense.

What is the location of the original Tweets?

However, if you want to find the original Tweets, look for Twitter user @swissdegen. He claims to have a complete backup of all Larva Labs Tweets dating back to 2017. What a wonderful vintage collection!

Unfortunately, nobody seems to care whether or not Larva Labs deleted their Tweets. According to Yuga Labs, the team will grant NFT holders of CryptoPunks and Meebits collections full commercial rights. That news alone was enough to persuade NFT holders to switch sides and support Yuga Labs.

Nonetheless, Larva Labs has been active in the NFT space for the past four years. The NFT behemoth has been through the ups and downs of the NFT world, and has created one of the most iconic OG NFT projects in CryptoPunks. Who knows, maybe we’ll see more amazing work from the Larva Labs team?
