The Sandbox has teamed with renowned Taiwanese developers of retro PC games Softstar Entertainment Inc. (Softstar). Softstar will purchase a virtual piece of land in the metaverse to build the Softstar MetaPark, where it will showcase a variety of traditional and futuristic stories to the web 3.0 environment.

The Sandbox offers a variety of adventures, ranging from eastern fantasy about legendary wuxia (martial heroes) to the pursuit of $1 billion in recent riches. Sun Xiaomei, Jin Beibei, and Atubo from the Richman series, as well as Li Xiaoyao, Zhao Ling’er, and Lin Yueru from The Legend of Sword and Fairy series will be ready to join fans on their journeys. The decision by Softstar to join The Sandbox is warmly welcomed as it represents an important advancement for a traditional games publisher and emphasizes the rapid development of web 3.0 and the metaverse in this new era. In-game products and Softstar IP in the form of real gaming experiences created as NFTs will soon be accessible to and usable by all users and producers in The Sandbox.

The setting for Softstar’s inaugural web 3.0 exhibition will be A Love is Forever, an immersive experience built by Lululand in Alpha Season 3, in conjunction with the metaverse studio Lululand and the Taiwanese creator organization TW The Sandbox Creator Club (TWCC). The presentation will include classic Softstar characters and unforgettable stories, as well as a rare peak at the company’s ongoing work in The Sandbox.
