• The Tezos NFT Market Shines Despite the Crypto Slump

  • In July, the Tezos NFT market enjoyed a record-breaking month, with leading generative art platform fx(hash) selling over $3.8 million.

NFT art has been surging on the Tezos blockchain in defiance of a market downturn. Marina Abramovic, a performance art pioneer, presented a standout collection that garnered over $300,000 in awards.

Furthermore, generative artist Zanacan had the second biggest individual sale on Tezos, selling a piece for a whopping $113,000.

Furthermore, a cooperation between Iskra Velitchkova and Zach Lieberman generated over $350,000 in revenue, making it one of the most successful Tezos ventures to yet.

Although there is a bear market, platforms such as fx(hash) are emerging from the ashes with their user-friendly platform that stimulates creativity and empowers generative artists.

The Tezos blockchain is clearly brimming with creativity, and the Circa Art platform has accepted a magnificent collection by Serbian artist Marina Abramovic.

Abramovic rose to prominence in the 1970s for her unconventional performance art, and she has just released her first Web3 piece, ‘The HeroFPS,’ on Circa Art.

Based on her earlier performance, ‘The Hero’ (2001), Abramovic returned with a performance consisting of 6,500 unique frames as NFTs.

Each NFT was sold as either a single frame (.jpeg) or a sequence of frames (.gif), allowing holders to buy time.

In a strong twist to the initiative, Abramovic and Circa Art are donating a portion of the proceeds to any ‘hero’ who submits a Web3 concept that can make the world more sustainable. The grant will be awarded to the idea that resonates the most with Abramovic.

This is just one of many unique and strong NFT initiatives circulating in the Tezos blockchain ecosystem.

Tezos’ NFT art community was also involved in numerous amazing digital and real-life events, resulting in significant money.

First, ‘1-of-1 Month’ celebrated single-edition generative art creations minted on the Tezos network. With 7,670 editions created by a group of 2,195 artists, this event produced over $300,000 in primary market sales.

The styles and mediums of generative art varied, with noteworthy artists including Rubenfro, Laurence Fuller, Frederik Vanhoutte, and Sutu.

Tezos’ Super July continues with VerticalCryptoArt’s NFT festival Proof of People, held at London’s famous venue Fabric London.

More than 2,000 people attended, and an auction held in conjunction with the event raised $64,000. Across 70 musicians performed over the three-day festival, including Misan Harriman, Mario Klingemann, Sofia Crespo, DJ Richie Hawtin, and many more.

Finally, Tezos set a new record in smart contract deployment statistics with a wave of new dapps released on the Proof-of-Stake network, capping off a fantastic month. The total number of smart contracts deployed was 11887, breaking the previous month’s record of 8784.

It doesn’t get much better than this in terms of good news! What a month for Tezos NFTs, and we congratulate them on maintaining their position as a pioneer in NFT art in the Web3 domain.
